Avail AI (“Avail”, “we”, “us”) is a product of Georgian Bay Web Co., based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Who this applies to
Avail provides an AI “front desk” that home-service businesses (our customers) embed on their websites or share as a link. When you chat with a business using Avail, we process your information on that business’s behalf so they can respond to your inquiry and book your service.
Information we collect
We collect only what’s needed to answer inquiries and book jobs:
- Contact details you provide — name, phone number, email address.
- Details of your request — the service you’re interested in, location/service area, timing, and any notes you share in chat.
- Basic technical data — IP address and timestamps, used for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry, provide estimates, and schedule appointments.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups by email or text — with your consent (see below).
- To protect the service from abuse and to keep an audit record of messages sent.
Email & text message consent (CASL)
When you provide your phone number or email through a business’s Avail front desk, you give that business implied consent to contact you about your inquiry. Every message identifies the business sending it. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can unsubscribe from emails using the link provided. We honor opt-out requests promptly. We keep a record of when and how consent was given.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the business you contacted, and with service providers that help us operate Avail: website hosting and database providers (servers located in the United States), an email delivery provider, a text-messaging provider, and a payment processor for business subscriptions. Chat and text conversations are processed by an AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses; conversations are not used to train AI models. These providers process data on our instructions. Where information is stored or processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Business account holders
If you create an Avail account for your business, we also collect your name, email address, and the business details you configure (services, prices, hours). Subscription payments are processed by Stripe — we never store your card number. We may send you transactional emails about your account (alerts, billing notices); these are not marketing messages.
Retention
We keep lead and booking records for as long as the business needs them to serve you and to meet legal obligations. Inactive records are archived and may be deleted on request.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact the business you interacted with, or contact us at the address below and we will route your request appropriately.
